Here's a tiny little drugstore in Yokohama. We actually went in to take a look. Everything is tiny in Japan, the cars and shops are no exceptions. It's crazy when the shop is really crowded.... which is pretty normal, and you can bearly squeeze your way through the isles. The subways are so packed in that you can bearly move during the rush hours. Forget that american notion of "personal space". There is no such thing in Japan. Especially in the sea of people constantly moving from train to train in the subways. I didn't really take any photos of the subways because it's kinda rude to snap one on the train. But I'll post some pics of the stations later. Tomorrow we are going to the place that I wanted to see the most.... "Electric Town"! The sacred town of gadgets and electronics.
Japanese hospitality
I spotted this sign right after we arrived in Yokohama from the train station. I couldn't stop laughing and had to snap a shot of it. I still can't believe it's there so close to the station and still up. Who knows how long it's been called that. Maybe it's for the "foreigners" :). I'm probably not the first to post it up... but I hope you enjoyed it.
Night Lights Near our Hotel
Here's a night photo from a stroll I took the first night I was here. It's only a few blocks away from our hotel in Akasaka, Tokyo. Along the way I spotted a Lamborgini. It was so beautiful and I have never ever seen one just parked in the street like that. So of course I took some close-up photos. Never saw the owners but they must've been filthy rich.
Drinking in the scenery
He'res a pic I took in Yokohama. It was sitting on top of a hill we went up. Good placement for after a long journey up. It was next to a park too. I love it when there's like 3 or 4 next to eachother. I noticed that there are a lot more coke machines than pepsi. I guess pepsi is not as trendy right now.

Buddha at Kamakura
We went to the great Buddha at Kamakura yesterday and took lots of pictures. It was the first nice sunny day since I arrived. It's been cloudy and rainy. I found a wifi hotspot in my hotel room. So tonight I will post many more pics. Today we are going to Shinjuku for some shopping!
A nice profile shot of the great Buddha. I like how the clouds sort of looks like a halo around his head. A "must see" if you're ever in Japan. This is actually one of my favorite photos I took in Japan. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful sunny day with blue skies.

Pelican in the Desert
Just last week we biked to the Albuquerque Aquarium for the day. Here's a rare photo of a pelican in the desert... it was at the outdoor aquarium exhibit. I guess these birds were injured and were in some rehabilatation program. Notice the band on it's leg. It seemed perfectly healthy though, and was cleaning it's feathers.
