A Drive through Jemez, NM

We went for a nice spontaneous drive through the Jemez in New Mexico this weekend. It was a beautiful clear day. We took my '96 Miata, and had lots of fun with the twisty roads through that area. While I was there, I decided to take some 3-D photos as well. So if you've never been to the Jemez, here's your chance to take a virtual journey. Visit my new 3-D photo gallery to see the 3-D photos from the trip: http://3duke.blogspot.com/

I decided to start a separate blog for 3-D photos. Here's the linkage:

More 3D Fun: Learn to make your own 3D photos!

For those of you interested in 3D photography and want to make your own 3D photos, or just want to view more 3D photos by other photographers, here is a link to a couple of websites devoted to it:

(this one has some tips on seeing 3D with the "cross-eyed" method if you are having trouble.)

The Kitchen Nook in 3D

I thought I'd post some random pictures I have on my USB flashdrive. Here's a pic of our kitchen area in 3D stereoscopic view. I took it with 2 digital cameras side-by-side. It was taken a few months ago. To see it in 3D you have to sorta cross your eyes until the images merge into one. If you do it right, it should pop out and look like a photo from a viewmaster reel. Let me know if you guys can get it to work. Good luck!

I have a few more of these taken while I was on vacation in Oregon if anyone is interested in seeing more. I may do a whole separate blog just for my 3D stereoscopic photos.
