International Balloon Fiesta 2007

Well, what would be a photo-blog from New Mexico without International Balloon Fiesta photos, right? So here are some photos I took at this year's Balloon Fiesta. The weather was beautiful and it was a perfect day for Ballooning. This "Fiesta" is the largest of it's kind in the whole world. It's also the most photographed event in the world. So, it's pretty cool that it happens in my backyard every year.

In the past, I've had the pleasure of crewing as a "chaser" for a few hot air balloons for the Fiesta. It's an amazing experience to actually participate and be a part of the event. The most memorable thing about being a "chaser" is that you usually get a free ride in the Balloon you help crew for... if the pilot is a nice guy. I've had the lucky opportunity to go up in 2 Balloons so far... and both times have been among the most memorable experiences I have ever had. It is impossible to describe in words... so I won't even try. By the way, I hope you enjoy these photographs I took, and I hope they inspire you to go to the Balloon Fiesta next year. I will see you there... waving to you from my Hot Air Balloon :)
