Duke Finds His First Home... & Does Another Movie

I apologize that I haven't posted anything in such a long while. It's not that life's been boring and that there's nothing to post... it's quite the opposite. There have been so many changes in my busy life that I haven't had a chance to post. Anyways, one of these big changes is that I just bought my first house! I've been saving up for a down-payment for a while now and it's awesome to see things come together and materialize. I still can't believe that I own (a small percentage) of my house. Yeah, I've always thought of having a mortage as not so much as "owning" a house, but "renting to own" a house ;) I tried to take some nice pictures of the interior and backyard as well, but they came out horrible (really horrible)... so I'll wait for a day with "better" lighting to take more.

With that said, I hope you guys and gals enjoy this one photo of the front of the house around sunset. You can see that the front porch lights are on... hinting at the hour of day. The house is located in the Southwest part of Albuquerque in a nice and quiet gated community, and my neighbors are super nice.

In other news: I'm single again, I was sick for almost a whole month, and I was able to be an extra for another movie. The movie is called "Sunshine Cleaning", and it's a dark comedy. I don't really know much more than that. I was called out of the blue (the day before the shoot) by the casting agent for the movie, and I was like "sure, of course I'll do it"! It was another great experience being on set for another movie, and this time my car may be a star as well. One of the scenes has me walking in the background in a parking lot with my car parked in the background too. I really hope it makes the final cut and that we're both in the shot (me and my car :) That would make my year. The only thing that could top that is uh... having a swinging party at my house with lots of movie celebrities! Yeah, I know... I will keep dreaming :)

Comments Anyone? I'd love to hear from you!

  • Well...since nobody else left a comment on you getting your first house, I WILL.
ahem...now then, I think that it is so awesome how you can save up so much money for a new house of your very own! That takes allot of patience and discipline. Especially if you have other things in your life that require your immidiate attention (such as car repairs, bills, and the like). So...

    GOOD JOB! It's beautiful.
